At a cursory glance this piece is about a young child playing around on a scooter, but this traveler takes you back in time, reminding us of the innocent doll faced explorer within each of us and taking us back to when we collected whatever conglomeration of parts and gears we could find and with pure imagination created masterpiece adventures, even when the scooter was an ax head. Rhonda Norman is an excellent visual storyteller.

Assemblage: Mixed media art combining found objects, discarded objects, recycled objects, or vintage objects including metal, wood, doll parts, rope, leather, stone, encaustic wax and other "junk" into a cohesive final piece.
Mid Century Modern: Retro and MCM tables, chairs, storage and other furniture. Teak and Danish Modern mostly (with designers such as Johannes Andersen and Erik Christensen) with some American Mid Century Modern thrown in.
